A week has passed...  

The evil running nose is NOT coming back for real.

Only sneezing a few time a day... Nothing more.

It's my new normal. It's absolutely fine for me.

A Question from A Friend

Me and mom really love to share what kills my nose bug. But we did not know for sure. My mom couldn't pinpoint even she has records. What we can tell is.. my 2-week timeline before I get better. 

You guys might see something, we don't.

Two weeks ago...

Mom took me to see a VET because I stopped eating, drink less, no poo, less pee. I felt fatigue. I was struggling to breath. A doctor gave me three things:

1) Carborcycteine , a pill to made my mucus less sticky

2) Mirtazapine: Remeron to boost up my appetite ( Every 3 days )

3) Viyo recuperation fluid for a very sick kitties who couldn't eat by themselves.

She gave me those for 3 days then my nose started to bleeding, Mom stopped my pills.

The next day I was choked by food syringe and vomited all. Mom stopped Mirtazapine and recuperation fluid

💔 .... That day.... she didn't want to force me anymore

Mom began to ask and answer to herself ( yes, she is crazy pawson)

' When I was sick ... Did I really want to eat ? '

' No, I didn't feel like eating.'

' Do it really matter if I skip meals ? '

' It did not matter at all, actually I felt good because my guts works less. What I need is sleeping. ... Many times Puddy knows what it's best for himself...Great !.. Let's him be then. '

So she let me be ..

Eat when I feel like it. No more food syringe. No more forced ... I did eat few dried kibbles by myself after vomiting. I did drink. I did nap a lots. Mom still did brushing for me because I couldn't do it myself ( due to sticky nose )..., a massage, a gentle petting....then I slightly got better in a few days.

Breath Easy is a pill for kitties who has cold. It made from all natural ingredients. It used to get rid of my cold. Later on.. during my sickness, it seems my body has rejected all kind of cold medication even Lysine treats. All makes my nose bleed that's why mom haven't given me in a while.

When I slightly got better, mom's gut tells her..

'What da hell. .. His nose is bleeding anyway. Juts give him Breath Easy only for 3 days and let's see. It might stop his running nose. It used to work !  If not the rest can go in a bin '

My nose was still running ... Nothing changed.

The forth day of a pill, my nose was bleeding again as she expected ( A hypersensitivity reactions ). Then she gave me krill oil to reduce inflammation, and yogurt to fix my guts.

Next day she shared me coconut water. 

Everyday I only ate dried food/treats

A few days later the weather is extremely hot, mom used a damp clothes to wipe me ( make sure my body temperature is normal ( head, chin, body but belly ).

In some points my nose was bleeding a lots till my mom secretly cried and searched for an urn. Next day, a miracle happens before she is making a purchase. All my sickness is GONE ! POOF !

Till now, me and mom still not sure what to make of this.


From my daily records. My symptoms turns whose one of those days :
1) The Extreme Weather or Barometric pressure changes
2) The Lunar Cycle (worse on the day before moon's phase )
3) The Fourth Day of Medication


I always feel better when ..
1) mom is brushing my fur
2) mom is doing massage my head & my body
3) mom is wiping me with damp cloth (cool down my body temperature), especially the back area near my tail.
4) night time sleeping with humidifier. ( on a very hot day : mom will add ice )
5) long nap


Mom can tell my temperature is not normal by
1) the heat from my forehead /chest /tongue : Mom will wipe me with damp cloth ( not too much )
2) the color of my tongue ( deep red means too hot / no poop ) : I will drink a lots , mom will wipe my butt with damp cloth.


Mom often counts my breathing rate while I sleep ( normal is 15 -30 per a minute ) If it's a bit fast ( but still normal ) , She will know I try to grab air so she will check my nose making sure nothing blocked. If nothing blocked it might be AC or Not AC. or I feel stressful. She will brush my fur. Once I purrs, everything will be fine.

Me feel soooo good 💕 I am good as New Old ManCat. I haven't gone out in a long .. loooong time ( A month of chronic cold ). Me made myself stayed indoor. Mom didn't ask me to do but she was so glad that I did that. Simply, I just didn't go down stair. Mom actually surprised. She is soooper proud of me.

For me, it was not a best time to sneezes sneak around at all, wasn't it ? Cause kitty cold will go around in a domino effect. I don't do that to my next door kitties. Seriously, Me can't let them see me not handsome ( leaking nose )

Me & mom believes a wild side of life. Mom did a lots of research before she offered me a raw egg yolk. She never force me to eat (excepted my pills and food syringe). Me, Puddy cat always have a final say. I often denied bad/ expired/ sh*t food. If it's not to my palate 😸. We kitties only eats great stuffs ..tee..heh

Recommended Portion & How often : One egg yolk a week, Max 

Puddy is 14 years old : weight 7 - 8 + kg. ( 16.7 + lb ) ~ I could only eat 3/4 of yolk a day

Mom mixed it with my mushy treat.

2 big drops a meal : One or two Meals a day.

It can be any Cat Supplements you like. I tried several but I love this one. Please make sure your pawrents read all things in papers and box. Some supplements are dangerous for some conditions of kitties.

🐈‍⬛ Krill Oil

Mom give me 500 mg ( from a capsule ) mixed with my favorite mushy treats. 

Once a day : Every two-three days ( Max. )

If you prefer Fish Oil, you can go for it. It doesn't need to be Krill Oil. It's just a source of Omega 3 we kitties need. Many articles advised our human should get the one, specially formulated for cats and dogs only. Mine is a human krill oil. Mom read all ingredients on a bottle it doesn't lack of anything so she offered a drop first, if I denied or it won't show a sign of improvement, she planed to go get the special one for pets, but I did eager to eat and my conditions were improving so we stuck with this one.

Of course, They do love us .. LOTS 💕 but when we kitties were sick, most of them are too worried and too stressed. Sometime, they forgot to show love, or do it less than normal. 

Kiss, hug, pet your belly, rub your chin & head, brushing your fur, massage your shoulders or even tell you how handsome/beautiful you are, how much they love you ...anything... anything that can help you kitties feel relaxing and purrs 💕

Remedies for kitty cold

Home Remedy for Kitty Cold to be your option to cure.

My mom would love to share her experiences with your pawrents as well.

Of course, she is not a VET, and not qualified any medications.

Pick up on conversation when I first see my VET at an Animal Hospital : March 9, 2023

" Actually, I am not agrees to offer an antibiotic for a sick pet. " ~ My first doctor said to my mom

" and why you give it to them ? " My mom is curious

" It's because they asked for it. Most people wants an instant results for their pet, they want to see a quick improvement. The truth is.. many of them are resistant to treatment with antibiotics. We have to keep changing a type of antibiotic, but it becomes harder to cure. ' ~ My first doctor explained

3 days later my nose was bleeding ( see first picture ) it's not because an antibiotic but a pill to stop my running nose ( Cetirizine: Quitex ), but I have a chronic cold so mom decided to stop all my medication. A pick up on conversation made her tried to find out more about my medication. then she found some articles said..

"Not every cat needs antibiotics,

and we're starting to see cats with antibiotic-resistant infections.

But if clinical signs recur or worsen "

Mom thought this is what happened to me. An antibiotics cause me a prolong cold. Mom found a way to fix it, Probiotic is my cure. Natural probiotic for cats is yogurt and pumpkin. Roast pumpkin is my favorite food but it's mushy. Since I have a runny nose & wet cough. I don't touch mushy & jelly food. I only eat dried food to avoid irritation in throat ( phlegm ). And pumpkin is too thick to insert into syringe so mom gives me yogurt to fix my gut, fix my PH.

Warning : make sure the yogurt doesn't contain any sugar substitutes like xylitol, because this can be toxic to cats. Plain Yogurt only

Portion & How often : Don't feed your cat more than three tablespoons per week.

Puddy weight 7 - 8 + kg. ( 16.7 + lb ) : I am a big boy. Mom thinks my body is high-sensitivity so she only gives 0. 5 cc. of yogurt a day. And she only give me every 2-3 days.

6 ) Do not stress me MORE ! ( mom must not force me to eat too quick, too much. she have to remind herself I need time to swallow ( Syringe feeding ), Do not try to unblocked my nose too often )

7 ) Love me 💗💖 ( Hug me, pet me, brushing me, tell me she loves me as usual. Mom notices once I purrs, I actually breath normal and feel comfort )

How can we stop a bleeding nose ? I need something reduce inflammation. So Krill Oil is my purrfect choice. Mom offered me Krill Oil and Fish Oil, Me picked Krill Oil ( a relative of prawns you know ?  🍤 😻)

To my sickness, I need somethings to kill bad bugs inside my fury body, so Turmeric is my winner !  Anti-Oxidant, Anti-inflammatory, Anti-fungal, Anti-cancer effects.

Portion & How often :  ¼ teaspoon for cats or small breeds, daily.

Mom gives me turmeric everyday. ( Breakfast & Dinner ). Turmeric is not normal food for kitty. To be safe she mix turmeric with oat and my favorite treat. I love Oat though. This magic powder really makes me get better... It's Obvious 💖

Now I get better, mom reduces turmeric to be once a day.

Some says kitties and woffies can produce our own vitamin C. but we think I do need it. Blueberry, is my mom's choice because she has them for her smoothie and it works for her cold. It is safe for cats. It's highly anti-oxidant and vitamins ( including C ). So it may help me stop a runny nose.

Warning : We kitties are Carnivore, remember ? Keep it as a treat. Keep in mind is sugar content. * Not safe for kitties who has kidney disease, allergic, diabetes *

Recommended Portion & How often : Two to three blueberries are an appropriate amount. One or two times a week, max.

Puddy weight 7 - 8 + kg. ( 16.7 + lb ) : I am a big boy. Mom thinks my body is high-sensitivity so she only gives me 1 blueberry (only juice). Sometime she mixed it with tiny amount of Manuka honey. Syringe feeding me about 0.5 cc. two times a week, max.

Stay hydrated  🐾🐾  Drink a lots of water

My blood results showing I was dehydrated plus I have a cold. Everyone know water is good for us. I do well with drinking a lot of water. Mom placed a glass of water in several spots and put on different high so I can manage myself to drink when mommy goes to work or sleep. For occasional she will give me Coconut Water as well. She know I love coconut water so when a local fruit truck comes, she will buy for us ( we share 😊😽 )

Coconut water is safe for kitties, is a natural source of electrolytes and potassium, which can help kitties stay hydrated. It's a good alternative to plain water for cats with kidney disease or undergoing dialysis treatment. And it's anti-oxidant.

Warning : Keep in mind coconut water is high sugar content, large amount of phosphorus * Not safe for kitties who has allergic, diabetes. It could getting a risk of hyperphosphatemia

Puddy weight 7 - 8 + kg. ( 16.7 + lb ) : Mom only give me one cc. a day. Once in a blue moon.

As you all know...

I've been having a chronic cold for a month and two week now.

It's too long for kitty like me.

My symptoms is up & down.

At some point, my mom was not sure how I could have survived.

She sleep with one eye open. I often woke her up because I couldn't breath.

Mom stopped using the medication from the VET.

because it could not cure me, it gave me bad side effects, and prolong my symptoms.

I still have a little bit running nose sometime, not all the time.

Finally, I can sleep tight. I can put my head down and breath easily.

I'm not yet 100% myself because I couldn't make myself eat prawns LOL

But I back to eat my jelly treat today. I couldn't eat it since I got a chronic cold.
